Become a Defibrillator Guardian
Here in West Sussex and growing nationally - our ambulance services use The Circuit to help direct bystanders to the nearest defibrillator in an emergency. This is a network that you can access easily by dialling 999 in an emergency.
At the moment, many defibrillators never get used because emergency services don’t know where they are or how to access them. This can cost lives and that’s why this new infrastructure is so vital.
If you notice a defibrillator in your community - help add it to the circuit by advising the guardians of the national defibrillator network The Circuit!
Help us to increase access to AEDs!
Our goal is to bring increased access to Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout all of West Sussex. This will in turn improve our local survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest.
We have the potential to increase our survival rates from less than 10% to over 60% if we are able to place an AED within 2 minutes of all private and public spaces.
This is an extremely large undertaking and requires the commitment of our entire community. We understand the desire to be a defibrillator guardian may be financially out of reach for many smaller businesses/locales. For this reason we have designed two programs to help increase guardianship across West Sussex.
Shared AED Guardianship
Team up between 2 or more guardians to purchase and maintain a public access device (AED).
Requirements:
2 or more guardians who will share the purchase and maintenance costs of an AED
Publicly accessible space to store the defibrillator (either indoor or outdoor)

Support the purchase of a defibrillator for your community by sending a gift card to a potential guardian.
Send a gift card to an interested potential guardian to help with the cost of purchase and maintenance of their Public Access Device AED.
Businesses/Communities who are interested in purchasing a defibrillator may request gift card donations toward the purchase of their AED. Simply send your donors to www.projectcpr.life and have them send a gift card to your email address.
We can also create unique access links for those who are raising funds for defibrillator purchase.
